Booked a month in advance and paid for an Audi A4 (luxury car). Upon arrival, I was informed that there were no cars available and was given an Opel (mid-range car) instead. After the car window was damaged, they only replaced it with a very small JEEP. Very dissatisfied with the service. This company offers very low value for money.

The supplier forced me to change the car model, claiming they didn't have the one I originally booked. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction, they still forced the change as I urgently needed a car. Additionally, although I had already paid for various insurances online, the foreign store ignored them and charged me again. Their attitude was extremely bad.

Trying to scare us into buying additional insurance and upgrading the car. They said the insurance we had payed for with easyrent was no good and they would take the money if there was an incident and we wouldn’t get it back with our policy. Expensive fuel service charge for having fuel in the tank which was not mentioned or justified as well as airport tax.

The car rental was 800, but I had to pay an additional 2400 in taxes at the rental office. The website didn't mention the total would be 3200, which feels deceptive.

Poor service attitude

The staff was very friendly. My English is not very good, I can understand simple words but get confused with long sentences. He patiently explained everything to me over and over. He said that they need to authorize 1200 euros on my credit card, which I initially didn't understand and got scared because I thought they were asking for an extra 1200 euros. I told him I had already paid for everything, including the most expensive insurance. He explained that the insurance money doesn't go to the company. If there is an issue, they need to charge my credit card first for repairs, and then the insurance company reimburses me. I finally understood after his long explanation.

The reception staff were very talkative and extremely inefficient

Although I will never be able to prove it, I do believe that Budget at El Prat ran a scam on me. I rented the car for one day for 17 euros. But they took me to the cleaners for 350 euros. 220 for repair, 40 for handling (??) and 80 for administration whatever (??). They found the smallest of scratches on the rear bumper. Most certainly it was there when I got the car but they make sure to just hand you the keys and make do for yourself to go over the car. The parking lot is dark and it is impossible for any driver to find these small scratches. But thats all part of the scam. I don´t know why I´m writing this. Not like anyone is going to read this or give a shit. Never ever will I do business with Budget or Avis and I will tell everyone I know about this disgusting company and this horrible scam. And all the clerk could say, ´don´t worry, your insurance will pay´ Thats what these horrible people think makes it ok to be so disgusting.
