The upselling was terrible! When I refused to buy the insurance, their attitude immediately became very rude. They sarcastically asked, 'For just $15, you're willing to take on all that risk? Can't spare $15?' When that didn't work, they tried to sell me an electronic toll device, falsely claiming that many roads couldn't be accessed without it. I didn't buy it, and drove from Los Angeles to San Francisco without encountering a single toll. Even the Golden Gate Bridge toll can be paid later. It's despicable to resort to deception and intimidation just to sell a $12 per day device. And they have an anti-upselling badge? This is the worst upselling tactic I have ever seen.

I paid for my car in advance and was under the impression nothing else needed to be paid. Upon collecting the vehicle I was given another invoice which was not clearly explained to me. There was a whole lot of items such as additional insurance which I didn't understand and quite frankly didn't need. The sales person simply gave me the invoice and didn't go through what each item meant. After a 16 flight I wasn't in the right frame of mind. It's quite disappointing to say the least, will not use Thrifty again, they are very dishonest.

The service experience was poor. I've rented cars from this company twice, and both times, the staff were unwelcoming. One staff member had a perpetually stern face, and another one tried to add insurance quietly. Be sure to check everything carefully!

They are all scammers. After I paid through Zhuanzhuan Car, I was supposed to be able to pick up the car directly. When I arrived at the store, a black man gave me a paper and charged a $350 deposit. I wondered why I needed a deposit when I had already paid through Alipay. When returning the car, they deducted another hundred dollars, claiming there were extra charges on the paper for some medical expenses. Isn't that nonsense? I had already bought insurance from Zhuanzhuan Car. There were so many abbreviations; only God knows what they mean. They asked me to sign without any explanation. They are all scammers! Zhuanzhuan Car charged me 2381 RMB, and the car rental company charged me over 1000 RMB. I ended up spending over 3000 RMB to rent a compact Ford for ten days. If this isn't fraud, what is?

Counter staff extremely helpful and efficient. The drop off assistance and procedure was flawless.

I included a child booster seat in my order and received confirmation. However, the rental company seemed unaware of it when I arrived to pick up the car. Moreover, after requesting a booster and confirming the order, I had to wait a full 45 minutes to get the seat and drive away. If that's the case, what's the point of having this option when booking through the platform?

There were few people at the pickup location, the process was quick, and they upgraded us to an SUV.

Liability insurance is a must, and I think the rental company sets a trap with the pricing. Since liability insurance is required, it shouldn't be excluded from the initial quote!
