The waiting time wasn't long because there weren't many people renting from this company. Nothing much to comment on.

The wait time for the shuttle was five times longer than other companies. The driver was extremely unfriendly, and there was a long queue at the store. The counter staff aggressively pushed for insurance sales.

Renting a car was simple and convenient.

The car's front bumper got a little scratched when moving over a curb. We reported it to the rental company, but the African-American lady at return said she didn't see any damage. After returning the car, we caught a shuttle to the airport. Shortly after leaving, the driver got a call asking if anyone had left keys behind, and we realized our son forgot to take our house keys off the car keys. We went back to retrieve them, and we were very grateful for their help.

I went to the US with my husband, and the reservation was under my name. However, I forgot to bring my driver's license and wanted to change the reservation to my husband's name. The service staff's attitude wasn't exactly rude, but there was a hint of sarcasm in their response. Overall, the attitude was quite arrogant.

Unreasonable price increase! I chose to pay at the store, and then they added various charges. I told them my US credit card includes rental car insurance, but the female staff still forced me to buy additional insurance or I wouldn't be able to pick up the car. The original order was only over $400, but I ended up paying over $800! Contacted the rental car service customer support, but they couldn't resolve it. Finally switched to AVIS. Overall, a huge waste of time! Never go to Thrifty! The bad reviews online are true!

The counter automatically added roadside assistance. Fortunately, there was no language barrier, so I negotiated and it was waived. There were no cars available for the model I reserved, and after waiting half a day, a car came but was reported faulty at the door and needed repairs. A European couple went to negotiate, and they were upgraded without any argument. However, when I went to negotiate, seeing that we were Chinese, they asked us to continue waiting. It took over an hour of back and forth. When I wanted to extend the rental period at the counter, they impatiently told me to call. The additional day was calculated at the full, non-discounted rate, which wasn't cheaper than Hertz. Overall, it didn’t feel very friendly. Additionally, they required a translated driver's license, while Hertz doesn't.

I forgot my driver's license, which was very risky, but I got through it smoothly. It was just luck.

Unreasonable charges

On November 6th, Beijing time, I went to the rental company's Cucamonga store at Los Angeles Airport to exchange cars. At the time, I couldn't exchange the car because I didn't bring my driver's license notarization. They had to close the order. The store manager clearly informed me that the remaining unused rental time would be refunded to the dealer, and asked me to wait. The rental company told me that the amount would be refunded within 7 business days after the end of the original order time, which is noon on the 17th (U.S. time). Just now, the rental company informed me that the unused amount would not be refunded. I hope you can listen to the call recording between the rental company and you on Beijing time, November 6th! They clearly informed me that the order could be closed and the money would be refunded!
