Car was new and clean, check in was really quick, and drop off was just as easy. The LAX shuttle came frequently so we didn’t have to wait long at either end. No upselling at the counter, which is great. Would definitely use Budget again.

Very easy to use, and all-inclusive price with comprehensive insurance, and excellent customer service.
Waited nearly 2 hours at the Budget desk, as they simply did not have enough cars available, plenty of staff on duty going very slowly. Booked large family car, as 3 of our group taller than 6 feet. We were then told at the desk it was unavailable, and that we had been given a complimentary upgrade to an SUV. I asked what the car was and staff claims he did not know. We were given an old Nissan Rogue Sports edition, the older, smaller version. It had dints, scratches and stone damage, even a piece of the bumper on the front seat. We were now 25 hours into our journey, so rather than wait, I accepted the car and carried on with our journey. Not what we ordered and will not be using Budget again.

Unfortunately the front window already had a broken spot which extended during the trip. For Budget it would have been cheaper to repair that in the beginning. Now I assume they must replace the front window ^^
Besides that the car was awesome =)
Counter staff very helpful. Got a nice upgrade as no jettas or similar available.

Price drop protector good. Don't force customers to include insurance. Some of us don't need it as we have insurance from elsewhere and need to keep costs down.
Le personnel à Boston était assez froid au guichet mais très sympathique lors de la prise du véhicule, en revanche celui-ci avait déjà beaucoup roulé et n'était pas en très bon état.
I purchased my own additional insurance cover and explained this to the person at the counter, however they still added $185 worth of insurance I didn't need or ask for.
After some time on the phone to customer services on our return home I manged to get them to credit my account.

I would have appreciated a 'tour' of the car's features before I started driving it. I didn't even know how to move the seat forward! Fortunately I had a friend there to show me, but if I'd been alone it would have been a problem and I would have had to go back and ask the counter staff.
The car was not clean and damaged.
I tried calling budget many times during my holiday, taking time out of my holiday time holding on the phone and getting no answer to notify them of all damage to the car . Emailed and no response. Received paperwork at drop off to say everything ok, and then on returning home checked my statement to see that I have been charged £211.00
Your help in this matter would be very much appreciated
The car pickup process took up to two hours. We arrived at the pickup point 15 minutes earlier than our scheduled time, but had to wait in line and only got the car two hours later. When returning the car, the agreed return point was actually closed two years ago. Can you believe it? Yet, it's the truth.
I returned the car and there was no one to close the contract. They made a mistake and they extended the contract for 20 days and they charged me for that mistake.
I had to call my bank to sort it out.
I will never book a vehicle from them!
Car ok. Problems with credit card--thought was fraud use. worked out with Budget eventually. SO THEY DID THEIR JOB.
Budget needs an over ride to credit card company to check out / rectify card problem. Lock you out after 2 card tries.

It was a great car. Steady and comfortable. There were lots of scratches here and there. Also the car wasn't totally cleaned when picked up, which I'm ok as there was a notice informing of water shortage in Santa Fe. The only downsides, which are actually quite grave are...
1. The front tires are totally worn out. I always have to continually remind myself of the safety risk it poses to my wife and daughter as passengers. I wouldn't drive a car with such tires back in Malaysia.
2. Not only the front tires were worn out, all the tires weren't properly inflated. Half way on the way to bandelier at some obscure roads, the tire warning lighted up. I had a hard time looking for gas stations that provide air pump as most were out of order.
Budget should place safety as the highest priority. We are talking about human lives here.
