We booked a car through the Zuzuche app in April, but when I arrived to pick up the car on the agreed date, the rental company couldn't provide the specific car or a similar model. In addition, the rental company staff upgraded the car without informing us of extra charges, making us believe it was a free upgrade.
Car was in a different terminal than where I landed....Europcar was kind enough to bring it to where I was. Though the car was in a usable but damaged condition at various places. They were kind enough to note the same on the contract but I expected to get a car in good condition.
“Terrible, the car was not cleanded and very dirty. We will not hire car from Europcar in future.”
About Europcar:2.7/10
I picked up the car at Sevilla airport. A male staff highly recommended another model, a MBW 2.20d, for us. He said that the car used diesel and it would has less fuel cost for travelling long distance. Owing to the darkness environment in the carpark, we could not easily identify the dirty situation of the car. After leaving the airport and under the sunlight, we found that the car was very very dirty. There was dust and debris inside the storing spaces at the doors and cabinet, mud on the carpart. Many white spots/paint on all seats. It was very disappointed that such car was not cleaned throughly before giving to customers.
The staff at the counter were very helpful. The car we originally booked had an issue during the prior rental and was not available. But, the staff offered multiple options, including an upgrade at the same price, to help resolve. Once that was done, the check-in process was very quick.
Our car broke down after an hour, we had to get our car towed, and disrupted our whole journey. The person that was suppose to get another replacement for us was not even aware of what has happened, and the whole customer service experience was bad as they will not let us rent another hybrid car.
We had to walk to pick up our next car and to the centre, there was no reimbursement AT ALL. As if the car that broke down was our problem.
The car rental service was good, but the instructions were unclear. After landing, the car we needed wasn't available in our terminal. We had to either pay more or go to another terminal. The car options (CRV Hybrid or upgraded to Tiguan) weren't different at all. They said we could just go to the parking lot, but after reaching the other terminal, we still had to handle things at the car rental center and not at the parking lot service center. This caused us to run around the airport several times. In the end, we got the Tiguan without paying extra. Online, both cars are listed as the same, and the hybrid is more fuel-efficient.
“Excelente servicio al compter, coche bien equipado y espacioso. Lastima olor y rastros de cigarillo.”
About Europcar:7.3/10
About QEEQ:7.0/10
Excelente plataforma de reserva, completa y facil a reservar. Ademas buena asistencia en caso de dudas.
A too long of a process to get the car keys. I wish the staff was more informative as far as what is needed if traveling thru different countries, tolls, etc.
I could not fault the staff of Europcar or the vehicle they supplied as it was an upgrade on the vehicle that had been booked at no additional cost. The car had only 3000km on the clock and was presented the TV
in immaculate condition.
It was okay, but the rental counter staff's English on this island was really poor. Due to the time zone difference, we had to wait over an hour to pick up the car. We eventually chose a better model recommended by the staff, which cost an extra 25 euros. They then suggested we buy higher insurance, and since we declined, they asked for an 800 euro deposit. In the end, we decided to just buy the insurance for an additional 75 euros.
Almost everything was doing right, but it was really difficult to find a parking lot in Seville train station. The easyrentcars app described the office of the branch, not the parking lot.
We picked up the car in the city and rented a BMW X1. Within just half an hour, we saw two BMW X1s being rented out. Not many people were there, and the service was very friendly. They explained the rental process in detail, very convenient, and they didn't push insurance sales. (But at least you need to understand some English for better communication)
