I had reserved a Volvo V40, but upon arrival, I was informed that it was unavailable and was offered a Ford instead. I assumed it would be a Ford Focus of the same grade, but after completing the paperwork and going to the parking lot, I discovered it was a smaller class car. Moreover, there were no staff members at the parking lot, and it was self-service pickup. This is clearly misleading and deceitful. If you don't have the specified model, you shouldn't charge for it. I felt very disappointed. I was carrying large luggage and didn't want to go back to discuss switching cars.
This company is not honest in their operations. Upon arrival, they stated that crossing the borders to Austria and Switzerland would incur extra fees. The original quote of 315 euros increased to 870 euros. Despite my multiple assertions that I did not need additional insurance or other services, the staff insisted that this is the normal price and that there were no other fees except for the cross-border fee. I eventually had to call the car rental customer service to negotiate and finally settled at 507 euros.
This situation highlights two issues: 1. This company's cross-border fee is significantly higher than others. Previously, I rented from another company with a cross-border fee of 6 euros per day. 2. The quote is very dishonest and deceptive.
Note: I have seen similar cases in the comments section for this company, please pay attention.
I wasn't very satisfied. I booked a V40, but they told me it wasn't available and replaced it with a Ford Mondeo. They also charged me for the GPS which cost 1000, while the car rental was just 1500. How can I not complain about this?!
The rental company casually added all the insurances, making the price twice as expensive as the booking without any notice. Due to the language barrier, I didn't realize it until I returned the car. My negotiations yielded no results. Be cautious with this company to avoid being scammed.

About Hertz:8.0/10
Entered the country at 6 am, had breakfast and went to pick up the car a little after 6. No need to queue, there was no one at the Hertz counter (the rental confirmation stated that Hertz counter service time is 6:00-23:59). A guy from a neighboring counter who was wearing another company's vest came to assist. Since there was no need to queue, I had no complaints.
There were quite a few people in line at the airport, but the order was well-maintained and the staff were very friendly! The process and car pick-up were very smooth!
The service attitude is pretty good, but the wait time is still over twenty minutes. Additionally, they couldn't provide the booked car category. We booked a luxury sedan, but they could only provide an economy car. After more than an hour of communication, the rental company finally provided a Mercedes convertible, but there were three of us and the luggage couldn't fit. We ended up accepting a Ford Edge.
Booked a Mercedes, ended up with a Ford. There were at least two similar Mercedes parked nearby. When I asked customer service, they said it's the same grade and refused to change.
Scam company! They deducted over 500 euros claiming I didn’t provide a fuel receipt. Zuzuche made no effort to resolve the problem and kept asking for the fuel receipt even though credit card records were provided. I drove just 400 kilometers and refueled for 70 euros, so why deduct over 500 euros? Zuzuche's reason was that fuel and labor are expensive abroad. Ridiculous! It’s fraud against consumers!!! Check Zuzuche's contract; every clause says they’re not responsible. Rent directly from a car rental agency! Never use Hertz, never use Zuzuche! The intermediary always sides with the car rental agencies, ignoring consumer rights. I will defend my rights!
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
