When I arrived in Florence the sky was already a bit dark and the lights outside the airport felt warm. I was pretty relaxed because I had booked the car earlier with QEEQ. I will start with my feeling first. I was alone in Los Angeles and rented a Toyota RAV4 through QEEQ around December 28th 2025. As a solo traveler I thought if something went wrong I was finished. When the problem came I saw many extra charges on the bills and I did not really understand all the English. I was nervous and a bit lost. So what did I do. I started to ask questions one by one. Who is charging me more money. How are these extra charges different from the AXA Full Coverage that I bought. I sent all my doubts to the customer team. They did not throw big technical words at me. They answered in simple steps. They told me which part came from the rental counter services and which part was not inside the AXA claim. I asked why the rental company could still charge me if I already had insurance. They went through the invoice with me and explained which fees I had already signed for and which parts I could try to dispute and also what risk there might be. Then I worried about the claim side and asked if AXA would pay or not. They told me we could follow the policy rules first and they reminded me what documents to prepare and how to show the difference between damage towing and extra services. More than once I mixed up the numbers and thought I was charged several hundred dollars. They checked each amount with me again and explained how much was really taken and how much was only my misunderstanding. I was in another time zone and traveling alone so it was easy to feel annoyed and tired. But every time I asked something by email or phone they already knew my case and my last question. I did not need to repeat my story from the beginning. It felt like someone was holding the line for me and pushing the case forward. I asked one question and they answered one question and slowly things became clear. In the end some money still could not be refunded because of the contract and policy limits but at least I understood where every charge came from and how my AXA claim should be handled.
