Parking is paid in cash to attendants wearing orange vests, usually XOF 500 to 1,000 per hour in central Plateau and Almadies. Rental companies will pre-authorise around XOF 150,000–250,000 on your Visa or Mastercard as a deposit, so bring a card with that headroom.

What insurance should I insist on for a Senegal road trip, and is the basic CDW enough?
