Our original car had mechanical issues then we got downgraded to a weak little micro car........ All this took more then an hour total....

We received a fiat panda in good condition. We were charged twice for the cost of the car rental once by EasyRentCars and again by Goldcar. Had to waste my time scanning rental agreements.

Interface between this agency and Goldcar.

Counter staff became hostile when I didn't want to purchase additional insurance (not needed as i had an annual SDCW policy). On returning the vehicle, the staff member inspected the car and found 2 minute scratches (almost invisible to the naked eye and certainly not done by me) and said that, technically, I was responsible for this as the 'damage' had not been reported when I picked up the car. She decided not to charge me as she was 'tired'. I am not an easily annoyed person, but her attitude made me very cross. I would not use goldcar again. If you choose to do so, I would recommend inspecting thoroughly the vehicle on pickup and making sure that you report even the tiniest scratch and paint chip before accepting the car.

Je n'ai pas pu réceptionner la voiture, arnaque sous prétexte d une carte non valide pour faire la provision (carte gold). Sauf si on prend l'option d'assurance supplémentaire 186e (comme par miracle)

I have rented cars multiple times, however, it has always been through Avis/Hertz/EuropCar. This has been the first time I rented Gold Car and experience was a breeze. Collected the car in 15 minutes flat from Florence Airport. Car Drop-Off process took no more than 10 Minutes - Francesco at Gold Car Drop Off was really helpful and quick. The car condition was excellent and as good as new. Just awaiting refund of the deposit/authorisation. Once that comes through, will leave a detailed review. Have been advised that the refund takes about 2 weeks time.
