Please contact the staff to pick you up to JD Rental - Airport branch car hire when you arrived.

The car rental store is located outside the airport, about 15 minutes drive from the airport. Upon arrival at the airport, please call 64 27 548 2950(Chinese service). Walk to the airport arrival hall, wait for the staff who will pick you up in 15 minutes near McDonald on the left of the exit. Customers who take the car outside business hours are required an extra fee of 40NZD,10NZD for the extra second hour.

Return to the Store, Car Park or Key Box & After Hours Return

Customers who return the car during the business hours will enjoy free shuttle service back to the airport. Pay attention that it takes about 15 minutes from car rental store to the airport by car. Please remember to prepare enough time to avoid flight delay. Customers who take the car outside business hours are required an extra fee of 40NZD,10NZD for the extra second hour.

Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1 year(s).

JD Rental does not allow to bring the rental vehicle to ferry. You will drop off your car at one port and collect another after crossing to the other island. A minimum of 3 days consecutive rental required in each island (If the minimum length of rental requirement is not met, then the rental will be charged as two separate hires.).

No professional inspection was performed during pickup and drop-off. The car model was old and worn out. After confirming and signing the return with the customer, they unilaterally requested the customer to pay a cleaning fee without any proof, lacking effective communication and basic respect for the customer. This was a very poor experience.
