Construction is currently taking place on the Crossfield Drive/Lindberg and the Crossfield Drive/AMPM intersections. All customers returning vehicles will need to follow the Airport signs. We recommend customers plan to allow for an additional 30 minutes when renting or returning vehicles to avoid any potential delays. COUNTER: Proceed outside for the blue common rental car bus to the rental car building. CARS: Cars are located directly outside the car rental building near the counter. RETURNS: Same as pick-up. The rental car bus will provide shuttle transportation to the terminal. IMPORTANT - Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is undergoing major construction.     Specific vehicle hired was not avaliable at pick up. We had specifically wanted a 4 wheel drive as we planned on going to the snow. We offered a 2 wheel drive as an alternative which was not what we were after. Unfortunately had to pay for an upgrade but did get a good discount although it was still expensive for a two week hire.
