Pick-up Instructions

Departing from Cancun International Airport take exit to carretera federal 307 southbound towards Playa del Carmen drive for 60 km until reach Avenida Juárez turn east and continue on this road until Avenida 10th . Turn north and follow through this avenue crossing 6th Street then continue to the east until the 5th. Avenue. The Alamo rental facility is on the corner of 5th Avenue North and 6th Street in the pedestrian zone. Upon arrival to the facility, please proceed to the Alamo counter to obtain your rental agreement and vehicle keys.

Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1-2 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Please note that an International Driving Permit(IDP) is only a translation and you must present your original driving licence at the counter.

For local renters, you need to bring:

United States
Unrestricted driving within Mexico. Rentals originating from Tijuana, Mexicali, Hermosillo, Monterrey and Saltillo are permitted to cross U.S. border. Mexico insurance is required to drive into Mexico, and can be purchased at this location. Customer must purchase an extension of liability protection to cross the border into the U.S. at US$ 10.00 per day -this amount provides TPL up to US$ 100,000.00 , PAI for the passengers up to US$ 2,000.00 per person and up to US$ 10,000.00 per accident. Vehicles are not permitted to cross the Southern Mexico border.
