Unrestricted driving within Mexico. Rentals originating from Tijuana, Mexicali, Hermosillo, Monterrey and Saltillo are permitted to cross U.S. border. Mexico insurance is required to drive into Mexico, and can be purchased at this location. Customer must purchase an extension of liability protection to cross the border into the U.S. at US$ 10.00 per day -this amount provides TPL up to US$ 100,000.00 , PAI for the passengers up to US$ 2,000.00 per person and up to US$ 10,000.00 per accident. Vehicles are not permitted to cross the Southern Mexico border.

In la paz airport thereis no Alamo office outside the airport and I was given no instructions on how to return the vehicle. I had to ask the guys at Avis who told me to park at the car park and go to the office inside the terminal.
