Vehicles rented in the United States can be driven into Canada, with the exception of 12 or 15 passenger vans,cargo van，luxury cars but must be returned to the United States unless Renter has pre-arranged with Provider to drop the vehicle off at one of Provider’s approved locations in Canada whereby a transborder fee may apply. The company is great, reliable, and the vehicle condition is quite good. I booked three FULL SIZE SUVs, and they upgraded two of them to extended SUVs, while one was downgraded to a standard SUV. By comparison, the full-size Chevrolet SUV is easier to drive than the extended version.

I couldn't understand why they didn't recognize the car pick-up voucher we brought. It clearly stated that the fee for returning the car in a different location was included. However, two employees who claimed to be managers said our voucher was old and the price was incorrect. After several attempts to resolve this issue by calling the 24-hour customer service line, we still had no solution. We ended up making several international calls, seemingly to the UK. The representative's Indian accent was very difficult to understand, and it's clear that having good English proficiency is essential for successfully renting a car abroad. When we picked up the car, the back seat was reclined at a 45-degree angle and wasn't comfortable for long drives. We asked the staff to adjust it, but they insisted that 'this is how the seat is.' It was incredibly frustrating, and we ended up figuring out how to adjust it ourselves after a long time.

The rental price this time was relatively reasonable. The procedures for picking up and returning the car were simple. Alamo's staff had a good attitude, and the car we rented was quite new, with less than 6000 miles on it. Overall, it was a satisfying experience. The downside was that there were too many people picking up cars, and it took three hours of waiting in line to get the car. Hopefully, Alamo can come up with a better plan for handling such situations when there are a lot of customers.
