Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1-2 year(s).

Rental cars can only be driven on sealed/bitumen or well maintained roads. Vehicles are not to be taken above the snow line. Not allow to drive between mainland Australia and Tasmania in either direction or into or out of the Northern Territory or Western Australia; Excluded from the protection is on the ferry or driving on beaches or through streams, dams, rivers or flood water. I initially didn’t want to give 5 stars. Why don't other car rental companies require a deposit? This one charges me 1000 AUD as a deposit, and it’s a direct charge, not a pre-authorization. They said it would be refunded 3-4 days after the car is returned, but later when I contacted QEEQ they said it would take a month. I rent cars in Brisbane and other cities, and some rentals are from this company. Every time I rent, they charge a 1000 AUD deposit. QEEQ stated that different cities and locations have different policies, which is why the deposit is charged each time. Next time I’d rather rent from AVIS than this company. Good service means nothing if the procedures are poor. A small company is still a small company.
