I am not sure I want anything from Fox again. Horrible. Pick up was painful. They spent so much time trying to sell the extras most people were taking over 20 minutes when their time finallly came! The guy in front of us was there 40 minutes and before service was completed on a guy AT the desk! All sales BS. Then they couldn’t find us a vehicle, pointed us in wrong direction on multiple occasions, absolutely horrible. Very stressful. Drop off only slightly better.
Like: Right from the time we entered the Fox office in Fort Lauderdale the staff made us feel good. Dislike: There was no hassle. The agent took us right to our car and helped with our luggage.
The ended up being double what the the website quoted. I expected the price to go up some because of the extras (sunpass and fuel) but double?!?!! The service at the rental place was really good and they were very helpful which is why i kept the rental but next time would appreciate more transparency on the price

FOX YOU SUCK! CALLED AHEAD AND WAS TOLD NO PROBLEM OF ARRIVING AT 7PM INSTEAD OF 3PM DUE TO FLIGHT CHANGE. WELL B.S. CAUSE YOU GAVE MY VEHICLE OUT AND HAD ME SCRAMBLING TO START MY VACATION. I WANT MY 36.53 BACK OR I WILL PUT NEGATIVE REVIEWS ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE I CAN. THAT WAS WORST EXPIERNCE I EVER HAD TRAVELING AFTER GETTING IN A SHUTTLE HEADING TO YOUR AGENCY ONLY TO FIND MY CAR WAS NOT THERE... OH AND I WAS OFFERED AN UPRADE FOR XTRA $!!!!!!!
Yes my comment would be to regarding their poor advice and lack of returning my questions.
I was highly advised / recommended due to US culture to take out the top insurance at a cost of £160 extra. Then told that they could fill the car upon return at a fraction of the cost. Which was a complete lie. I returned the car full, at the cost of £35 then charged over £50. I have emailed fox rentals to ask if I will be reimbursed as I returned the car with a full tank of petrol. They are yet to reply. Very poor.
When I arrived, there was a line up, but no worries yet. 15 minutes in, there were still only 3 staff helping the waiting customers while 7 computers were available, but apparently no more staff.
An hour of waiting in line passed by.
Another 10 minutes before it was finally my turn.
I had booked the car via internet and had already chosen the insurance package, but still it took another 10 minutes to get paperwork done.
Then getting the car. Not located where it should be. Another 5 minutes.
Then I finally got the car -> Very Very Dirty, inside and out.
Staff at the gate wanted to do a whole walk around the car and chit-chat and papers.
No thank you. I asked: “the car is fully insured for damages right?” Answer was “yes”.
I thus informed the guy that I was leaving and I didn’t need this b*ll sh*t.
OVER an HOUR and a HALF it took me to get out of your parking lot.
While I had already booked and paid via the internet!
Also, the GPS system we rented had to get plugged in. Problem was that the plug in did not work. The GPS battery was dead within a day.
A phone call to Fox did result in us getting the money back as a promise, and it was actually refunded when we returned the car.
I did feel that the “return empty” thing was a rip off.
The guy at the counter in Fort Lauderdale said Fox’s fuel prices are $0.20 cheaper than at the pump, but ehen returnong the car in Orlando.... prices were actually lower than Fox’s prices. Felt mislead.
Car was very damaged with many scratches and actual huge damage to driver side door frame when we picked up the car.
It was also very dirty on the inside, and windows could definitely use a cleaning on the inside too.
Other than the dirtiness, the car drove great.
My only reason for booking with you was that I wanted a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Not for price or location.
I just wanted that car.
The whole experience was not good.
My ONLY appointment in 6 weeks of holidays was not met due to Fox !!
The staff kept trying to upsell and then made mistakes on the contract. It was 1 am and we didn’t notice the mistakes until we went to return it where staff was difficult to work with.
Counter girl push unnecessary options. Lied about how many toll roads and said cash at tolls was not an option. I tried to call customer help line but it was not available.
