CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON AVIS AT CHIANG MAI AIRPORT, CNX

The car rental service was very professional. Everything followed the procedures, making it quick and convenient.

The service at the Chiang Mai location is acceptable. The car we rented likely didn't undergo a major service at 60,000 kilometers, as the brakes were extremely ineffective and almost caused several accidents. Luckily, there was little traffic on the road! It seems the brake pads weren't replaced. We struggled to drive to Bangkok to return the car, but they didn't even refund one third of the cost! Moreover, the service attitude at the Bangkok airport location is extremely poor! Quite disappointed with such a large rental company. Definitely won't choose Avis next time!

Compared to last year, Avis did not overly recommend insurance this time, but they were very strict with verifying the translated documents and did not provide any additional assistance such as printing services. The staff seemed quite indifferent, as if they didn't care whether you rented a car or not. We had to make three trips before successfully renting a car, though part of that was due to our own issues. Additionally, renting a car on-site without a reservation can be cheaper, but there is no guarantee that cars will be available. We also asked other rental companies nearby; there was a Thai local rental company next to Avis that was much cheaper, but they required notarized documents.

The service at Avis in Chiang Mai was poor. It took over 2 hours of communication at the counter to get the car, which was very disappointing. The vehicle's condition was okay.

Please make sure to get your driver's license translated before driving.

AVIS's service was excellent! We had a minor accident during our self-drive trip, and they handled it quickly and efficiently. They even provided a replacement car. When we returned the car at Bangkok Airport, they gave us a special ride to the terminal.
