I have emailed in a complaint which is city being dealt with . Almost an hour and a half waiting at the desk to pick up. Vehicle was not cleaned outside. They charged me 35 euros penalty to put less than 20 euros of fuel back in on return. A fee which I was not informed big when picking up the car. I couldn't find a station close to the airport on return and since I only used the car to drive to my hotel and back I thought I'd tell them I didn't put any petrol in and simply pay to replace what I'd used. Very poor customer service. Very sneaky not to have told me this especially when they covered the other details with me leaving that part out.

Booking was easy and I've made another booking with you fir another trip. Prompt replies via email dealing with my complaints.
First of all, when renting a car in Sicily, do not purchase additional insurance from Zuzuche. Always buy it from the car rental company; otherwise, the deposit will be extremely high. My deposit was 800 euros, and in case of an accident, you need to pay upfront. The repair costs for car damage in Europe are high, and it can be a significant amount if problems occur. Sicily is very strict about car damage inspections, including any scratches on the paint and rims, which will require compensation. The vehicle was quite old and not very clean. The front side windows fog up when the air conditioning is on. For Japanese cars, anything over 110 km/h with a side wind feels unstable, and since the speed limit on Italian highways is 130 km/h, it was very tiring to drive.
I waited over one hour to get the car. There were several people cuing to get the car they reserved and only one person at the desk! The company knows in advance how many bookings they have and it shocked me that they didn't make adjustments to the staff that was available at that time. A second staff member eventually showed up, but he didn't seem to be in any hurry to make the cue any shorter...
This was one of the cheapest rental companies at Palermo airport, but based on this experience, I would prefer to pay a bit more and not wait one hour in a cue!...
In addition, I have rented cars in many countries with my Revolut card being accepted as a credit card, but for some reason here they said it was a debit card, so I had to pay an extra non-refundable fee and a lower deposit.
At drop-off, the staff lady was very unpolite and unfriendly, closing this whole experience on a negative note.
Everything was ok with the car, but I don't think I will rent again with this company.
The local Italian car rental company lives up to its reputation, but the service is poor. The staff are indifferent, inexperienced, and the pickup process is slow. They even charged double the deposit because I didn't just use a credit card.
Overall good. For first-time renters, it's natural to be a bit nervous. The car had some minor scratches on the road, but thanks to QEEQ's insurance, we quickly submitted the materials and had them verified. The compensation was processed swiftly. Good experience.
