Airport Terminal Instructions LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is still under construction. Please advise all customers to expect delays getting to and from our facility. Customers should allow extra time before their flight for return back to the airport. The Port Authority will have signage throughout LGA to help customers. As of February 2, 2023, rental car shuttles have returned to terminal frontage for customer pickup and drop-off. COUNTER: AIRLINE PASSENGERS MARINE AIR TERMINAL (TERMINAL A): Arriving customers will proceed through the lobby and to the first curb the rental car common bus waiting area for the Avis shuttle bus. The Avis shuttle bus will take customers to the Avis car rental facility where customers will proceed to the Avis counter. (TERMINAL B): On the arrivals level proceed to the first curb between Rental car shuttle bus between numbers 4 and 6. The Avis shuttle bus will take customers to the Avis Car Rental Facility where customers will proceed to the Avis counter. (Terminal C): On the arrivals level proceed out to the first curb marked Rental car shuttle the Avis bus will meet you there then take you to the Avis counter. WALK-UP RENTERS/LOCAL RENTERS - Follow airport signs for Rental Car Return. They will lead to the Avis vehicle rental lot. Proceed inside to the counter. VEHICLES: Located approximately 1.5 miles from the airport at the Car Rental Facility. RETURNS: Same as pick-up. Look for the "Car Rental Return" signs. All returning customers will be taken from the Car Rental Facility back to the terminals. AFTER-HOURS RETURNS: Office is open 24 hours.

Young Driver Fee applies at 18 - 24 years old with charge of USD 35 - 84 per day approximately.

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1 year(s).

  An English translation must be provided on the back of the driver's license.

  Original Driver's License in Latin/Roman Alphabet

  Original Driver's Licenses printed in Latin/Roman alphabet (such as English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, etc.) are acceptable for car rental without the need for an International Driving Permit (IDP). Driver's licenses printed in a non-Roman alphabet (such as Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc.) must be accompanied by an International Driving Permit.

  Please note that an International Driving Permit (IDP) is only a translation. You must present your original driving licence together with the original IDP at the counter — photocopies or scanned copies are not accepted.

  Renters who have indicated a country of residence outside of the United States or Canada will be also required to present A return airline ticket.
