Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 3 year(s).

The following models require 1 year's of license holding time: Volkswagen Id 3-electric, Mazda Cx30, Alfa Giulietta, Cupra Leon Estate, Toyota Yaris, Toyota Aygo, Fiat 500 Cabrio, Mercedes E-class

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

Please note that an International Driving Permit(IDP) is only a translation and you must present your original driving licence at the counter.

Original Japanese Driving Licence + Official embassy translation in English

Full Driving License issued in Italy

If you are renting a Citroen DS7 CROSSBACK or similar, Nuova C5 X Hybrid or similar, Jeep Compass or similar, AUDI Q5 or similar, or Q5 S-Tronic or similar, please ensure that both your driving license and ID document are issued by the same country.

For local renters, you need to bring:

I had an amazing good deal with pick up at one location and return at another for cheap price. counter service was poor since there was only 1 person on a weekend day at the main station, so we waited 1 hour, but ok they upgraded me and gave me an amazing car with only few scratches. Highly recommended - but be aware of the fine print in the contract

I bought full insurance through the car rental platform, but when picking up the car, the rental company said it was not full coverage and that I would need to pay an additional 100 euros for it. However, the final charge for this insurance was over 170 euros. Initially, I didn't want to buy this insurance, but if I didn't, the deposit would be 1400 euros; with this insurance, it reduced to 400 euros. I ended up buying it, but I'm not very satisfied.

I booked the car for 7:30 AM, my husband and I arrived at the pickup point at 7:15, but the staff was not present. We had to wait for an extra 30 minutes, which affected our next schedule. Additionally, I completed the online check-in information on the rental platform the day before, which claimed to eliminate the need for filling out forms in person. However, at the location, I was still required to fill out the same information, wasting our time!
