Dropping off your car at Newcastle Airport you will drive north on the A1 – the road bypasses Newcastle city centre and connects with the upgraded A696 direct to the Airport. If you are heading straight to the branch in Ponteland just take the first right after Waitrose onto Meadowfield industrial estate and follow the road round we are on the left hand side.

Landing at NCL with 6 people, 1 with a child seat, it's not too convenient for the driver to go to the Ponteland office then drive back to collect everyone. Why not bring the car to the airport?

Terrible attitude, especially since the location is far from the airport. We had to wait an hour after arriving at the airport and could only contact them through Hertz's staff. It was even worse on the return trip; a small scratch on the front bumper required compensation forms, which took almost an hour to fill out because both an employee and the boss couldn't find the forms. This nearly caused us to miss our flight. After protesting, they even threatened us to get a taxi ourselves (our luggage was already in the car ready for drop-off). This scared my son, who didn't understand why I was fighting for my rights! Awful service.
