The only vehicles permitted to travel on unsealed roads are the following FFAR, KPGE, SFDR, PFAR, FFAM, SFBR, SFBD(SUV modles and PICKUP modles)and then ONLY if Unsealed Road Cover has been purchased. An unsealed road refers to a constructed or formed road that is not sealed with a hard material, such as tar, bitumen or concrete. Rental cars can only be driven on sealed/bitumen or well maintained roads.Vehicles are not to be taken above the snow line unless Snow Cover has been purchased.Excluded from the protection is driving on beaches or through streams, dams, rivers or flood water. Vehicles are permitted to travel to the below islands only: Kangaroo Island Stradbroke Island Bribie Island Phillip Island Bruny Island

    Car wasn't thoroughly cleaned still sand on floor and seats. Rest was good. Gor to dealership and was told that it was not open on the Monday we were to bring back the car so we were forced to pay an additional day. Very frustrating.

    No Chinese service and pushing insurance. Due to being in a rush to drive away, I ended up buying insurance twice, once via the renting app and once from the rental company! Additionally, any traffic violations will incur a fee of 44 AUD.

    Communication was not smooth. After informing that we did not purchase the Europecar recommended insurance, it took a very long time to explain, and the entire pickup process took nearly two hours. This insurance issue created potential problems later. We were charged RMB 12,900 for minor car scratches (surface scratches), which is outrageous. Not sure if the rental platform will cover this or not. I will never consider domestic insurance for foreign rentals again, it's time-consuming and stressful with all the compensation worries.
