Hertz vehicles can be taken into Argentina only under the following conditions. ***Between May 1st and August 31st, it is not permitted to drive into Argentina due to the local weather conditions.*** - Vehicle cannot be returned to Argentina and must be returned to Chile by the same authorized driver. - Additional insurance of USD 120.00 (excluding tax) for rentals up to 15 days or USD 206.00 (excluding tax) for rentals up to 30 days (including tax) is required. - Vehicles cannot be driven from Cayhaique (Chile) to Argentina. - Residents from Argentina may not drive vehicles into Argentina. - Permission must be requested at least 48 hours in advance during the opening business hours (Mo-Fr 09:00-18:00) and with the following details: Full name, ID number, ID type (passport or identity card), driver's license number and nationality of all drivers Number of passengers travelling in the vehicle (including drivers) Permit length (1 to 15 days or 16 to 30 days) and permit start date

Único ponto, foi que deixamos pago os pedágios que ficou em torno de R$300,00, porém não foi usado pois na cidade mesmo não tem pedágio. O dia que fomos na Vinicola Conha y Toro, tivemos o maior constrangimento, pois a cancela automática não abriu, nas cabines informaram que a tarjeta não era para aquele pedágio, ficamos presos na cancela, sem dinheiro e não aceitava cartão. Fomos mal informados no balcão da Hertz e cobrado um valor que não seria utilizado.
