Absolute cowboys, out to rip you off for as much money as possible.
I frequently hire cars from different companies and have only ever had one issue in all that time, when a company tried to charge me for minor damage that I was able to prove had never occurred.
However, Green Motion refused to allow me to use my signature for my credit card. This is despite me walking for half an hour to the nearest cashpoint to try and re-set my PIN, which was locked. This is also despite me being a repeat customer who had hired a car from a sister office just three months ago and given them an excellent review.
Instead, they gave me a hard-sell and charged me just under £100 before I knew what was happening and well aware that I was stranded in the middle of nowhere on an industrial park. This was on top of charging me and extra £50 for petrol and mileage.
I will never use them again.
The gentleman behind the counter gave us a free upgrade a small SUV, because we had two booster seats. He explained everything and in turn I upgraded my insurance. I dont know his name, but the staff were great and understood that there was going to be four people in the car. Highly recommend.
They didn’t appear to have our booking, the lady on the desk was very unhelpful, made it a complicated process & tried to give us a smaller car. Very pushy and condescending,

Booking was easy but then ACE didn’t appear to have our booking
I got a confirmation that I had my hire car. Then called them after my flight and they said they had no cars. I had to call my brokers. It was a nightmare.
They have several names, to blame each name for poor service. But really its all the same company!
I dealt with greenmotion through this booking. I dont have time to write how horrendous the service was & how rude the sales staff are.
Yes i walked away, got a hotel & then a train all after a 24hour flight & 1year old baby.
Thats how bad it was!!! They are con artists that will take advantage of people being on holiday with no where to go & take all your money.

Terrible. They wanted 1075GbP as deposit for insurance which we refused but still paid 69.32GBP for insurance and had a hold of 400 GBP for excess despite our insisting it was insured with you
1)I buy a super insurance at easyrentcars.com apps,arrive and take the car at budget,the budget staff sell me to buy the super insurance ,I show my phone to him I buy from the apps ,he said I didn’t buy the insurance ,just buy the basic insurance and show me his computer didn’t have super insurance record and tell me if the car damage ,I want to pay 1000 pounds,so I pay 22 pounds per day for the insurance ,I return to hotel and look the easyrentcars apps ,the claim condition is same as I buy at budget,so I buy the double insurance ,email to budget ,the budget services department reply me a long writings about theirs services how good ,but didn’t see can help me。
2)Take the car at budget ,the staff just give me the key ,and tell me in the car park ,I go to car park found a lot of time ,have a look the cars pumper had a lot scratches around the car,and start the car,table board show yellow signal ,the car is not really,then change another one,waste my time。

The space of the car is as expected however the exterior of the car is not very clean. You can’t differentiate the dirts with the scratches. I hope they can clean the car in and outside of the car throughly. The front desk staff during the pickup at Gatwick Airport is nice, she tried to upgrade the car (with a price of course) and tried to sell their insurance but I rejected nicely and she didn’t push it further.
Everything was nice until Avis (Budget) charge me £30 for ADMINISTRATION FEE only for passing on my details to the police. At first it was tolerable because I might have speeding at the highway unknowingly. I still haven’t heard from the police until now. Avis send me a letter btw not email. All the way from the UK to Malaysia. BUT Avis charge me £30 again for whatever reason I don’t know. I guess I need to wait for their mail to know. I will never use Avis again. Ever.

The staff was helpful in using the dreaded Dartford Tunnel, and eased problems thereof with full assistance. First assistant was a bit overbearing when trying to "upsell" insurance.On that subject, there is still a $1500 + charge in my credit card statement 2 1/2 days after returning the car with no problems.Most rental companies do not charge as much, and the charge is cancelled faster.

We arrived and were told there are no automatic cars available, the only one was a large Volkswagen Caravelle. Were told it would be at least two hours before one was returned. We could not wait and ended up paying more for the Caravelle in order to leave on time. Pretty disappointing.
