I was very pleased with the car I was given. Economical but had enough horsepower to get up out of its way! Counter service was efficient and I didn't have long to wait! Very pleased with service and car!

Both pickup and return were at the airport. I saw long lines at other rental companies, but AVIS was very efficient.

Size of van was perfect, however it was hard to get in and out of the driver and passenger sides. They didn't have steps for easy access and both driver and passenger have knee problems which made it difficult to get in. Passenger side window control was broken, so I couldn't roll window up or down.

Yes, loved this car. I was skeptical at first, due to car being a diesel, but was pleasantly surprised by this car's roominess, great gas mileage, and everything worked very well...great deal!

People were great but the van was beat up and dirty. It served its purpose.

When we got to the Advantage booth , they told us the only car they had left was a Hyundai Elantra. I had reserved a Toyota Camry. The attendant told us that this is the single car they had on the lot. WE CANNOT fit 5 people with 7 luggage into a Elantra. After waiting over an hour we had no choice but to leave with Nothing! We had to hire a Lyft to transport us from Sacramento airport to Fairfield which was over an hour away.

Waited45 minutes to rent car...then 45 more minutes to actually get car as it was not ready. There were 4 to 5 people also waiting. Took 1.5 hrs to Drive out

Hidden charges

I have been charged twice with no explanation why or contact from thrifty. The agreement on pick up and return after the car was checked said $52. We got charged that. Then several days later they have made a further $62 charge which was not agreed and I have not been invoiced for. Not happy in the slightest.

Thrifty has well maintained autos and the folks that work for them have all been very friendly and helpful!

It’s very difficult to rent a car in Sacramento. The bus takes forever going both ways. The lines are long. And there aren’t enough people to staff the counter. Also, the people at the counter are quite slow. After my third time, I am ready to give up and I’ve canceled my car for the next trip. Paying the extra money to take a Lyft to and from the airport is a better spend of my energy than dealing with the rental car process at this airport.

The clerk convinced me to purchase prepaid gas because he told me outside gas prices were $3.54 a gallon and prepaid was only $3.29. There were prices below $3.00 a gallon. Last time I'll do that. I felt manipulated and deceived.

I reserved a compact car was giving an SUV wasted gas the gas tank wasn't full it was no one there at night to advise them about this issue

On the web site you make it sound like the rental amount could decrease. I have used you twice, it never has.
