I encountered a novice, it was such a hassle. They mistakenly charged the pre-authorization as an actual payment, and now two days have passed. I went there today, and they still say it'll be refunded either today or tomorrow.
The pickup service was clearly poor. First, I explicitly stated that I was only going to La Fortuna, yet they tried to upsell me to switch to an SUV. In the end, I didn't agree to it, and the roads throughout the trip were perfectly fine for a regular sedan. A standard sedan had no issues at all.
Second, I booked a Toyota Corolla but was given a Toyota Yaris (sedan). These are not vehicles of the same class; it was a downgrade. The rental company neither informed me nor did I recognize the Yaris at the time. This is fraudulent behavior, especially since they charged Corolla prices. Fortunately, QEEQ later refunded me the price difference. Kudos to them for resolving the issue.

The car had 60000 km on the clock but the front tyres were very worn and badly under inflated on pick up. Too tired to make a fuss re tyre condition after 11 hour flight but asked staff to top up the air. I had to top up with air on both front tyres twice during the 2 week trip. The rep insisted that I typed in my personal information on my phone which was laborious after a long flight and it would have been much quicker if they did it on their website. On car return the rep pointed out a large dent in the driver's door. I had not seen the condition report at pick up as it was not referred to by the staff and attached to the back of the contract. I did take pictures before leaving so was able to prove that the dent was pre existing.

Would be good if local knowledge of airport was better as the vehicle I selected was pick up in terminal but that is not an option at Liberia.
Great service. The only thing I will mention, they gave us a 7 seater car with a small engine! Being inn Costa Rica where you are surrounded by mountains, going up hills was an effort. They tried to upsell another car to us.
El vehículo fue excelente. Como consejo tienen que mejorar el lugar de la lanzadera (el pickup del bus que lleva a la rentadora). Todo lo demás fue con una buena atención por parte de todo el personal

Fue bastante fácil, recomiendo como placas con resúmenes de los seguros que se incluyen y los servicios no incluidos, porque el tema de los seguros es bastante complejo de entender en un país distinto al de uno
