Three days later, returning the car at the airport, the story unfolded: during the inspection, they found a crack about 2 cm in the left taillight of the car, which is a subcompact Kia, similar to the lowest class of private cars in China like the QQ. The repair cost in China would be around 300-200 yuan. I thought Goldcar would charge 300 euros for sure. Unexpectedly, they calculated a whopping 1077.34 euros, including repair fees, taxes, downtime, etc. It was a total rip-off!! By the way, I never had an accident. The only explanation is that it got hit while parked. Honestly, I suspect they might have intentionally damaged the taillight during inspection, but this is just speculation without evidence. Additionally, the gas station near Malta airport is extremely hidden. I've never encountered an airport that hides the gas station so well, clearly to prevent you from returning the car with a full tank. I couldn't find the gas station and planned to return the car with an empty tank due to a tight schedule. In the end, Goldcar charged an 80-euro refueling fee, not including the fuel cost! It was just a handling fee, completely unreasonable. It’s an absolute scam! Be very careful with them, and you'll need to be extremely vigilant to avoid being ripped off.

It was explained to me that I cannot rent a car with American Express card because they are very easy to cancel payment, but then they start twisting my hands to pay full insurance on the same card. The amount of the insurance asked was 3 times more than the rental. Huge disappointment and 0 customer service.

they scammed me, claimed damage that was already there. also upgraded the damage tier to TIER2 scratch larger than 30 cm, scratch was 5 cm insurance payed back but gave me lots of paperwork

it was not as good experience in stead of 2008 they gave us 108 then we had to go back and ask for another SUV even manual ,what happened didn't start again went back inside and got another vehicle not professional at all
