Apparently, this is common in the UK because there are few economy automatic cars, so upgrades are frequent. The drive was smooth, and even though I didn't refill the fuel, they just charged me the difference at a rate of 1.2, which is reasonable since outside fuel prices are usually between 1.3-1.4 (the car runs on diesel). However, they don't offer a free shuttle from the airport to the pickup location. The single trip fare of 4.5 pounds is expensive and inconvenient. Overall, I am quite satisfied.
