Manager Not Nice

My car rental experience at the Dollar counter at Newark Airport in New York was relatively smooth. Even though it was my first time renting a car in the U.S., and the service representative's English wasn't very fluent, it didn't affect the process. The staff was quite patient. Besides suggesting that I use an EZ-pass, there was no push for additional insurance. Overall, it was a good experience, which made me less cautious when renting a car in Orlando. The staff at Orlando Airport was evidently more sly, strongly recommending extra insurance. When I asked what it included, she mentioned it was for scratch protection, but later I discovered it was for PPP, ESP, Roadsafe, etc., none of which were related to scratch coverage. As it was too late to change, and the rental company's customer service was not available at that time, I had to accept it as a lesson learned.

Due to a flight delay, we arrived at the rental store very late and there was no line. The car we got was the same model we booked, without any free upgrade. They tried to sell us insurance, but because QEEQ had reminded me via email beforehand, I insisted on not taking those extra insurances. One thing I didn't understand is why renting the Epass through the company costs $19 per day, while at other companies it was only $3-5 per day. Therefore, I didn't rent it, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the vehicle wasn't very new, and the trunk wouldn't close properly. Returning the car was simple and quick, overall it was satisfactory.

Poor staff knowledgeable and their system doesn’t tell what car available with them.They have to check manually by calling intercom.
