The car pickup process was relatively smooth, but the car was almost empty with just a drop of fuel left. The staff didn't say anything, and it was 2 a.m.! I ended up breaking down 20 kilometers away from the airport because the car ran out of fuel.
No deposit required, unlimited mileage, optional upselling which can be declined. The rental company charged an extra 200 lira for highway fees and did not provide the detailed highway bill on the return day. Since it was paid in cash, there was no way to recover the overpaid amount.
The local rental company is quite localized. Overall, everything went smoothly. However, the service details were somewhat careless and rough, lacking compared to Western companies. The car wasn't quite as I expected, with plenty of scratches. But the return process was smooth and hassle-free, which is fair.
I've been to Turkey over 10 times and this is the first time the car was in such poor condition. It was extremely dirty when I picked it up, which I've never encountered before, and there were issues with the tires.
