The Union Square location was somewhat busy. We operated the machine, but after resolving everything, we still waited half an hour to get our car. Overall, it's acceptable.
Remember to bring an international driving permit when renting a car; without it, the rental location might refuse to rent to you. It might be possible at the airport. QEEQ's customer service said the permit needs to be mailed, but you can actually do it online and just print it out.
The car pickup point at Union Square, San Francisco, likely due to its proximity to the city center, has very enthusiastic staff, but the queues are extremely long. There are self-service pickup machines nearby, but due to operational issues, their efficiency is very low.
