You get what you pay for

I’m local and showed my own insurance information but the clerk charged me for insurance. I brought my own Sunpass transponder but the clerk charged me $5 daily for “activation fees”. The shuttle took almost 40 minutes to pick us up from the airport. The rental car office facility is literally a shak at a repair shop.

We showed up expecting an easy experience and then they try to say that the state of Florida has new strict driver liability laws, and you NEED to buy their daily insurance to comply. This is not true, and is just their own policy to force you to buy their insurance (which makes them more expensive than other rental agencies)

It's a scam. The price seemed good, and they said they require proof of insurance. I brought the proof when I went to get the car, but at the counter they said I needed a half a million worth of coverage (I'm not even kidding) and that I would need to buy their insurance, which was much more than the car rate itself. Of course I turned it down, and will never go again.

You need to ask someone to call the rent a car for them to pick you up. They tell you to use the courtesy phone; but the phone doesn't work.

Like: I got the vehicle class I wanted, car was clean and performed great! Friendly staff
Dislike: Didnt factor in the toll transponder charge, or some other insurance free I had to pay
