pick up office is far from terminal and there are not enough clear instructions in the terminal/arrivals area for which station to get off at using the shuttle. also not enough staff in the car park to help you get your car and we waited a long time to be served and then again just to exit the carpark
Had trouble with domestic credit card during pickup. Ended up charging $64 first to complete the process. Not sure if it will be refunded. Card was fine. Overall experience was average.
The waiting time wasn't long, but a Thrifty employee added an unknown insurance to my rental without my consent, costing over $30 for three days. They also tried to sell us a full tank of gas. When we refused, saying we wouldn't need that much fuel, they lied, claiming we'd need a full tank to visit Haleakala National Park. In reality, our three-day trip, including the Road to Hana and Haleakala National Park, only used half a tank. This kind of irresponsible sales tactic is infuriating. The car itself was good, both in terms of performance and condition, which I was satisfied with.
