Unlike most car rental return areas where you get "checked in" in Bozeman you parked the car in a far off parking lot and walked back to the rental counter to return the key. In my confusion I did not do a last minute car check and inadvertently left my handicap placard hanging on the mirror. While staff admits seeing it hanging, cleaning staff threw it away. this was most upsetting. they should know better.

“Given a Subaru Outback rather than a Kia Rio”

Like: The staff recommended me to rent a Subaru Outback because of the weather conditions in Montana. The car was in an excellent condition. I am pretty much satisfied with my rental experience.

Like: The staff were friendly and helpful
Dislike: We booked a Kia Rio (or similar) and got a Kia Soul. The Rio looks more like a sedan while the Soul looks like a miniature station wagon. The Soul served our purpose but is not the most attractive vehicle in my opinion.

We picked up the car about half an hour early, but the rental company didn't inform us that we also had to return it half an hour early. As a result, we were charged for an extra day!!! Furthermore, even if we were late by half an hour, they should not have charged us for a full day!! The most critical issue is that the rental company gave no warning about this, extremely frustrating!
