CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON AVIS AT VANCOUVER AIRPORT, YVR

It was a good car, however, I faced an issue in the deposit blocking at the airport counter. But the staff was very cooperative (Chris). Finally managed to book the car.

It is a nice platform makes it easy to book rent a cars quickly and gives option for full insurance which all the rental companies try to resell while picking the car. If QEEQ can integrate the insurance claims so that deductible zero insurance booked in QEEQ is taken into account

The car was an older model, makes noise when turning vehicle. Strange foul odor from the interior of the car when it gets wet. Took a long long time to pick up the vehicle at YVR, had to wait almost one hour for them to clean and prepare the vehicle for us. It was a Nissan KICKS hatchback.

The staff was very welcoming.

The process for picking up and returning the car was very simple. Inspect the car and take photos yourself when picking it up. When returning, just fill up the tank.

The car was great - a Dodge Charger which I really enjoyed driving

The price for the booking via Qeeq.com was really good, and the website and email interactions were great too

Nice upgrade to a large SUV which was a great bonus

Returned the car early, but the Avis store at Vancouver Airport insisted that they would refund a CAD 75 voucher, saying we could call Zuzuche to get it. When I called Zuzuche, they asked if I had a recording, or they needed a handwritten receipt? It's not about the CAD 70, but the fact they promised something and then didn't deliver. A verbal promise should count too.

This is a scam company. They force you to buy insurance without informing you. Do not choose this company. This is the first time I encountered such an issue after renting cars numerous times in the US, Canada, and abroad. The final bill was higher than the online estimate because they claimed I bought extra insurance, which I never did. When I picked up the car, they just handed me the keys and the contract, asked me to sign, and never mentioned anything about insurance. The whole process took one minute. In my previous rentals, if they wanted to upsell insurance, they would at least ask me. This time, they didn’t say anything, just had me sign the contract, then the Indian guy made a few marks on the contract, but the copy I received was blank, I remember clearly. This is practically daylight robbery.

The car exceeded my expectation

The waiting time was quite long, the longest I've experienced in any city or country I've visited. The service attitude was good, but the initial car they provided was quite old, so I requested a replacement. Waiting for the car took a long time, and they were understaffed.

I have not received the email receipt of return upto today.

Upgrade was very welcome. Great service.
