We had a nightmare experience that is still ongoing - it totally ruined our vacation.
We twice had to change cars due to 1 faulty car and 1 Mitsubishi recall - costing us two days of vacation circling back to Germany to change.
Then after the second vehicle switch, we were charged 950 Euros (the full deposit) without explanation (bar one email to us addressed to a wrong email address). After many phone calls, being on hold for long periods and promises of calls back from Enterprise, we discovered that Enterprise at Nuremburg Airport (where we changed the second car) had 'discovered' damage after we returned the vehicle. Originally when we arrived they had thoroughly checked the car and exchanged telling us everything was OK, there was no damage. They just charged us without a discussion.
Now they told us to email our complaint and we have had no response since we contacted them on 11th July. We feel scammed.

Pros: When picking up the car, I was informed that the original model was not available, so they upgraded me to a Volvo XC60. The car was more premium (though it did consume more fuel). The vehicle was also fairly new, with less than 10,000 km on it.
Cons: The car was given to me with half a tank of fuel instead of a full tank. I ended up refilling it significantly when returning the car...
