Pick-up Instructions

Check-in at www.moderentals.co.nz/check-in is recommended at least two hours before pick-up. If your pick-up is after-hours, check-in is mandatory at least two hours before end of business day. Once you have collected your bags and cleared customs, please call us on (04) 213 8938 to order your shuttle. To meet your shuttle, exit the terminal through the main door G on the ground floor near the baggage collection. Turn right, walk along the path for about 100 meters and follow the sign for Car Rental Shuttles.

Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 2 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

We were unaware that MODE was not located at the airport, so we ended up getting a taxi which cost $20 to the location. We hadn’t realised that they were waiting for communication from us so they could come pick us up. I’m not sure if this communication issue was a mode or EasyRentCars issue. Would have been good to know they offer airport pick up before hand. The car was in quite worn shape but for the price it wasn’t bad. One hub cap came off the wheel because they were all held on with zip ties. We also found the car struggled up hills. We didn’t expect much because the price was so cheap though. The lady that dealt with us when we arrived was excellent though, she was really helpful and kind, so that was the best part of the experience.
