The Europcar - CAIRNS AIRPORT car hire location is in terminal

You can walk to the counter of Europcar - CAIRNS AIRPORT car hire.

The Europcar counter is located inside the arrivals hall near the baggage collection carousels at both the domestic and international terminals. The International terminal desk is not always manned so on arrival please make your way to the Europcar booth and use the phone on the counter to speak to a Europcar team member.

Drop-off Instructions

Follow the signs on Airport Avenue to the domestic or international car rental car parks. Please park in any of the Europcar parking bays, which are located on the left hand side, the 1st exit after the 2nd roundabout. The Domestic Terminal carpark is manned between 8.00am and 5.00pm. Outside these hours keys must be returned to counter in the domestic or international terminals.

Driver's License Requirements

The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 2 year(s).

For foreign renters, you need to bring:

An unsealed road refers to a constructed or formed road that is not sealed with a hard material, such as tar, bitumen or concrete. Rental cars can only be driven on sealed/bitumen or well maintained roads.Vehicles are not to be taken above the snow line unless Snow Cover has been purchased.Excluded from the protection is driving on beaches or through streams, dams, rivers or flood water. Dislike: Make sure you buy full insurance with easyrentcars because it much cheaper than buying with Europcar. Ensuring you arrange additional driver if you need with easyrentcars also. We checked with Europcar directly on phone before booking through easyrentcars and staff refused to add my partner as another driver if he does not have credit card. He advised the staff we had done it before without credit card if he travel with me who has credit card. The staff insits he still needs to have credit card or go back to rent a car with the previous company where they allowed. Then we booked everything with easyrentcars with additional drive, full insurance. Everything went smooth at the pick up point. It is a best price offered by easyrentcars and the website help to bring the smooth and excellent experience. Thank you easyrentcars.

There weren't many issues with renting the car, except that after returning it, daily charges were made to my credit card for four consecutive days. When I contacted customer service to find out why, they kept saying they were coordinating with the rental company, but after four days, there was still no resolution. It was terrible, and I had to freeze my credit card. They said the charges were for toll fees, but I rented three cars at the same time, all took the same route, and the other two cars weren't charged. Only mine was charged every day after returning it. Really strange.
