Although the paperwork said there was no damage to the vehicle there was a large chip in the windscreen that if I hadn't pointed out to the staff member I would have been charged for on returning the vehicle.....I suspect this is how they make money!!!!

Easy to use but was expensive for a small car for 2 days rental
I booked a car, and after waiting for 3 hours at the pick up location (Edinburgh airport) I gave up and cancelled. There were 100 people waiting with two people on point (8 open desks!). Surely you knew what was going to happen??? What a shambles!
Interrent and Goldcar are not located in terminal anymore! You should update your details as you have to.use shuttle bus to pickup the car. I spent more than 30mins to find it out.
They sneakily include insurance in the rental agreement without informing you and charge your credit card after you return the car. The staff's service is poor, they can give you the wrong car and later notify you saying, 'We gave you the wrong car.'

Car was a competitive rate, ideal size and generally sound if a little dirty.
Location is about 10 minutes from the airport, a shuttle bus is provided but operated by a parking company and not good 'easyrent' identification signage to see it.
Car was not clean when collecting, difficult to inspect for any damage to sign off collection paperwork. Return was challenging (before 6.30 am), office not open, told to park on kerb on street and return keys to nearby car park company - created unecessary risk for me as a customer.
TLDR: Overall car as described and had competitive rates, staff were friendly -but- cleanlienesss of car, shuttle bus signage / instructions and return process system could be much better.
Finding and waiting for the shuttle (15 minutes) could of been better. Also, it took a while to check in as we were the last ones off the shuttle and the line only grew longer as we were there. Otherwise all went well
The car pick-up process was extremely slow. It took an hour to get a signal on the POS machine. The staff told me that in case of any accident, I must first pay Hertz £1500. They also pushed additional local insurance at £23 per day. It seems that domestic insurance with low coverage is not very helpful.
It took a long time to get all the admin sorted as I was not aware I should have my NI number and DVLA code and clearing done.
As I did not know my NI number I had to phone around and finally got this all sorted.
It was good that I had taken my passport along as well, because a second ID was needed.
I received great service from start to finish. The pick up was tricky to find but obvious once we'd got our bearings in the airport. We waited about 15 minutes for the shuttle bus. On arrival there were 4 staff on duty and they dealt with us promptly. The car was in fantastic condition and the staff did a thorough inspection with me at the start. They also demonstrated all features of the car as I had not driven that brand before. Staff were attentive and helpful offering local advice too. Drop off was quick and painless with no issues.

Really easy platform to use with so many deals and offers to choose from. The referral scheme is really generous. The prices were by far the best I found compared to all other comparison sites. The price drop feature also saved me an extra 10% 2 months after I made the booking which was a lovely surprise! All the information provided was accurate and there were no issues when arriving for my booking.
Pathetic experience at Hertz as they didn’t provide the vehicle which was pre- booked. was forced to take a sedan which was uncomfortable as we were 5 adults travelling.
