NEW ORLEANS CAR RENTAL REVIEWS

After using five or six car rental companies in the US, T is undoubtedly the worst. Starting with the rogue-like booking method: the price was cheap when booking, but later they forcefully added third-party insurance, claiming you can't drive without it. Then why allow bookings in the first place? As for the car quality, this company probably has the worst in the entire US. Not a single car had less than 10,000 miles, and they were all the lowest configurations.

Dislike: I get to the counter and am told they can't release the car because it was booked as an international reservation and I needed an international drivers license. I chatted online with your company while I was there and was told that my reservation couldn't be switched to a domestic reservation and to just rent a car from Dollar anyway and that would be reimbursed for the difference. To get the same deal would have cost me over $ 425 and I don't believe for a second that I would have been reimbursed. I had to go online and find another deal and had to wait another 1 hour and 15 minutes to book my car. I was at the car rental for 3 hours. This was completely UNACCEPTABLE !!!

The company’s location is good, right next to the airport. However, they added roadside assistance without asking, and I didn’t check carefully. Since the destination was far, I didn’t bother to go back. Everything else was satisfactory. Taxes and fees for renting at the airport are higher.

Like: The Agent that assisted us at the counter while getting the car was just the greatest!!! So courteous, helpful, efficient and she was just so great to deal with.
Dislike: Nothing.

Like: The car was as described.
Dislike: Waited 15 minutes to get to the rental counter

This store is in downtown New Orleans. We went on a holiday, but it was still open, and we only queued for a short while. The staff asked if I wanted full insurance, and I hesitated because I thought I already had it. The staff quickly realized and said, 'Oh, you already have it. Sorry.'

Like: Very fuel efficient car...drive well.
Dislike: SEAT ADJUSTMENT OFF.... DRIVING POSITION UNCOMFORTABLE

Like: Most of all I like the drop off procedure. Though it took some time to reach the Alamo section in Miami Int Airport driving past all the other rent reps the whole procedure took about 1 or 2 minutes. Pick up at New Orleans airport was also good. Had to wait a few minutes but after it got clear that Dodge Grand Caravan that I had booked was not available I was given Nissan Armada and off we went.

Like: Liked the Carolla a lot.
Dislike: Had to drag our bags 1/4 mile @ New Orleans Intl.

Like: Great car at a good price
Dislike: Nothing

Our plane was a little late getting to the airport and Dollar staff left. I even called and asked if they would stay and the lady was very rude and didnt care. We got there and thankfully a Hertz employee was still there and helped us out. He was very nice and quick.

Forgot some items when returning the car. Called the pickup point and the staff immediately helped retrieve them from the car. Excellent service.
