The first car we got was 5 years old we drove to the hotel and the next day had to return it as we were renting for two weeks and it was jumping ahead when I let of the brake. Customer service was excellent as they replaced it with an almost new car.
The car I received had poor brakes. They were squeaking loudly, and I felt unsafe. When I called to ask about service record on the car to find out when the last time the brakes had been serviced, they couldn't tell me. Very frustrating. I also asked to get a replacement car, and they told me to return to the airport the next day, but they could not guarantee me another car. Also quite frustrating. As it turned out, I did go to the airport and they were able to give me another car, but I lost several hours of an already brief vacation.

The line to receive our car was ridiculous! And then when we did get to the counter they didn't have a car available for us so we had to wait another 40 minutes. The car had a nasty smell on the inside of it and did not smell fresh and clean.
I thought saving a 100 dollars on car rental for a week would be worthwhile I arrived for a 10:30 pick-up in Phoenix. The counter was located outside. It was 35 degrees. The line was took over two hours. I arrived at my destination at 3:00 a.m. It was cold, no one on the staff came and suggested the line move to indoors or gave explanation for the long wait -- it was TERRIBLE. The car turned out to be fine (to my delight) but could never trust using Fox again...and have made that known P
We waited 2 hours to pick up a car.Considering that we had booked online, the process was excessive. When ball that was completed, we waited another 20 minutes to receive the car. WE WOULD NOT RENT WITH THEM EVER AGAIN.
The car has multiple drapes and scratches on exterior. Car interior smelled like a smoker owned the car. Right front tire began losing air first day after renting

I got a great deal for a 10-day car rental! My little Mitsubishi Mirage was perfect for what I needed! Very economical! My biggest problem was actually finding the EZ/Advantage counter, but that might have something to do with where the shuttle dropped us off and the lack of proper signage.
I stood in line for over 45 minutes to get checked in to rent my car. There were 38 people in line and (3) THREE people at the service counter. Every person took approximately 15 minutes to get checked in!!!
It was exhausting!
Then trying to navigate the return was was even more disastrous!
wanted a intermidiaire and got a minivan with high cost gas! With so much scratches + a breach in winchield!!
The guy at the counter was so unfriendly we arrived at noon and there is no more intermediaire car! Wanted so much to sell us a vus for 10$ more a day...we refused again and again finally he gave us the minivan no extra cost even if we didnot wanted this kind of car because cost more of gas...anyway like I said many times we didnot have a choice!
Usually, we rent cars for almost 20 years, we can choose the cars at the parking lot and they are all nice, clean, like brand new...but not this time! No choice...dirty outside and inside...and full of scratches! Never seen that before ! So much that we took a video to be sure not to miss a spot! But we did, while driving to our hotel we find a star breach in the windchield! Again never experienced it before...again another video was done at our arrival at our hotel to make sure that they didnot try to put that on us. So we were nervous all our vacation that we would have futur problems with the company after drop off . At the drop off the guy was nice and said not to worry but still...hope not to hear about this company.
Finally, they took a deposit of 200$ again first time for us to experience that
So...if we can avoid that company we will in the futur

Advantage in Phoenix was the worst rental car company I ever had to deal with. When I arrived at the rental car center, Advantage did not have any rental cars available. Also, at 20 other groups of people were waiting in line at 12 midnite for a rental car with no cars available to rent. I had to rent a car from Dollar rental cars for $114 for 24 hr. rental period. I had to go back to Advantage the next day. They only had diesel cars available which costed me more than $50 in gas as compared to a gas car for the 19 day rental period. The worst rental car experience I ever had.
i picked up my car and on way away from airport noticed that the car had just over a 1/4 tank of fuel.
i called 800 number and was told to take a picture of gas gauge and send in. I did, customer service gave me a claim #117383 and said someone would call me between 24-48 hrs., if not call them back. No call, i called back and they told me to address it at a/p when I returned the car. I explained my situation and gave claim number to person at counter upon return. She said she would take care of it. Upon returning home, i checked my e-mail and I was billed full amount with no mention of my claim. To sum up my attempts to resolve the situation "It was a nightmare". Multiple phone calls over several hours, I had to resend my picture of gas gauge, The CS person had to review the claim, consult with her supervisor, etc. The "verdict"--Advantage could not refund me the money because I went through a third party(EasyRentCars)Advantage offered me a 20%discount on my next rental--worthless I am retired and not going need a rental car in next year. Ironic, I was telling my seat mate on way to airport about my issue--He said he quit renting from Advantage./
I waited for over an hour to get my rental. Then when I was up to the counter the attendant walked away go assist another coworker. Then proceed to advise me that it would another wait as my caf was NOT READY. If I wanted one of the ready vehicle it would be an upgrade. So instead of waiting for my Rent. As I was exhausted from traveling & couldn't mustard the angry to get my rental right then & there.
