Economical and reliable.

The owner was incredibly nice. We were staying at a hotel near the airport and he came to pick us up in the morning and drive us to the rental yard. The funny thing is, the yard is actually right next to the hotel, but since it was our first time driving in New Zealand, he very thoughtfully took a longer route just to help us get used to local driving. He talked us through the road rules along the way and actually took us through all the key situations: left turns, overtaking, right turns, roundabouts, who has right of way in different scenarios, and what to watch out for when driving on the right-hand side of the car. It was incredibly helpful for a first-time right-hand drive. The whole experience was the complete opposite of the more rigid, procedural service we had when renting on the South Island. Absolutely a five-star recommendation!!!!!

Great cars at very good prices. Shuttle transport arrives at the airport pick-up area within minutes once Top Rental has been contacted to notify arrival. Staff are the best!

Always an easy booking process with clear display of all options available. Price protector can be very helpful, though it wasn't activated on this occasion (prices did not drop).

They picked us up right after our flight. The car they drove was the same one we rented. After completing the paperwork at the shop, we drove off without having to carry our luggage again.

Very helpful service via phone and face to face. Was flexible in pick up and drop off, very clear with instructions on using the vehicle, and was keen to answer any queries we had. I will use Top Rental every time I look at a rental vehicle.

It did take a while to get our car as traffic was heavy. We did notice a strong cigarette smell especially in the back seat and as there were no other vehicles available we had to purchase a hanging deodorant to erase the smell.
