Too slow, and they force you to buy insurance!

Slow going at the desk

This is the second time I’ve booked at this location and twice they did t have the car I reserved and paid for. The counter representative was no help.

It was not immediately known that the pickup counter was away from the other airport car pickups which elongated our pickup experience. It was also not known that a 3rd party insurance would be required and costing us more money.

Routes is off-site and not in the new car rental building at ORD. It was not difficult to get to, but required a second van trip. Person behind the counter seemed anxious to leave and not very friendly, but the process was smooth and efficient. A Jeep Wrangler was substituted for the Rogue. It is very boxy and not fun to drive as it was very windy. When we got the car, no one volunteered to go over the controls and features. However, when asked, one outside worker did a pretty good job of showing them. It is easier to get in and out of Routes than it is the car rental building at ORD.
