The car pickup was relatively smooth. I want to mention two things: they gave me a Qashqai instead of the X-TRAIL I booked, but I let it go. Also, the front tire was underinflated; the staff didn't check it properly.
When picking up the car, we noticed a lot of scratches and dents that were not recorded on the check-in sheet. We asked the staff to note down four spots, but they missed one. When we returned the car at the airport, they insisted it was our fault and made us go to the counter for processing. We were in a rush to catch our flight, which made it extremely inconvenient. Such tricks!
The service was quite ordinary. I had bought full insurance from Zuzuche, but when I arrived, they aggressively pushed for more insurance, which wasted a lot of time. After the insurance, they pushed for an e-tag. When the guy asked where we were going, we said Blue Mountains, and he told us not to buy it. It turned out we did incur toll costs, probably a navigation issue. They pushed for various things, including a GPS rental, which was annoying. The car they gave us was an old Nissan with several tens of thousands of kilometers on it and no features. It struggled on hills and consumed a lot of fuel. They pointed out a few damaged parts on the car before we left. The parking lot was full of Corollas when we arrived, which felt intentional. It's like they gave us a bad car because we didn’t buy anything extra. I recommend buying directly at the store to avoid headaches. A few days ago, I rented a Mercedes with full insurance from the official EU website and got a free upgrade. Think about it.
