The rental and return guy was very handsome, efficient, and provided detailed explanations. For ETC, we recommend following his advice to rent one. In Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, there are many automatic tolls. Without ETC, you'll have to avoid toll roads entirely.

Aalborg Airport is very small and there are few people, making the process very quick. However, since the QEEQ insurance is domestic, the car rental company may not be aware if you have purchased it, so they may politely ask if you need their full coverage. Long wait to be served (Enterprise. Alamo and Europcar all shared same deck. They used a deli-style number ticket to manage the long queue. Service person mixed up my booking with someone with the same surname despite me asking him to double check - annoying and careless. Will use Hertz next time!
