Cuando hice la reservación del auto ofrecian un paquete de protección de la unidad tanto en México como en Estados Unidos, pero en la agencia Budget me obligaron a pagar un seguro de cobertura nacional de acuerdo a la ley estatal de Baja California.
The vehicle's condition wasn't great. The engine warning light came on while driving, the wipers were almost unusable, and the door lights didn't work well. The main issue was: the insurance claimed on the rental order wasn't included (though I had bought full insurance). It didn't cover even the most basic theft, collision, or any amount of protection... I had to keep calling home to sort this out but got nowhere! It wasted a lot of my time, and I was charged an extra $20 late check-in fee at my accommodation because of this. The rental cost also didn't match; the prepayment wasn't recognized by the rental company, and I had to sort it out again after returning home...
I booked a Prado model on QEEQ, but when I arrived at the store, they didn't have the Prado at all. They only had a Renault SUV, which was much smaller, and there were no other options. When I asked the store, they told me to communicate with the website, saying the online information might be inaccurate. I understand that they might not have a Prado, but they clearly stated that they would provide a comparable model. Anyone can see that a Prado and a Renault are not the same size. I hope you can communicate this better. If a vehicle is unavailable, don't write it on the website!

Budget de Puerto Vallarta es un fraude espantoso. Nos lo advirtieron dos oficinas de rentas, pero quisimos creer que era la calidad de Budget que conocemos de USA.
PESIMO, se tardaron demasiado en llevarnos a la oficina de recogida del auto (y pesima actitud), cuando llegamos nos pidieron documentacion y sacaron copias, pero sin decirnos los montos aunque pregunté. Cuando vino el tiempo de firmar el contrato, exigí el monto final y resulta que era más del doble porque según ellos había que pagar no-se-que seguros que insistían eran obligatorios. Pero al reclamar y pedir pruebas de la obligatoriedad, entonces vino el gerente a decirnos que no, que era por nuestra seguridad, bla bla bla... y entonces dijeron que no eran obligatorios pero que había que dejar un depósito groseramente alto (más de 200,000 mxn). Les pedimos que nos llevaran de regreso al aeropuerto y se hicieron tontos más de 40 minutos, hasta que nos enojamos y entonces nos llevaron de regreso. PESIMA EXPERIENCIA, una verguenza que tengan la marca Budget
