Had an excellent experience with Highland Car Rental. Bought full insurance at the store without any upselling. The staff was very considerate and even noticed it was my teammate's birthday. After picking up the car, we started an exhilarating journey. The mountain roads were quite manageable, though a bit narrow. The entire trip ended without any fines, which was very satisfying. Kudos!
They handed me the car without a full tank, saying there was no time, and that it would be adjusted for the current fuel level. When I returned the car, they tried to charge me for a full tank, but I caught them and they removed the fee. Also, there was no luggage cover for the trunk when I picked up the car, and I wasn't aware it was supposed to have one. When returning the car, the staff said they didn't know if the other location had provided it, and planned to charge me for it as a loss. Overall, the car was in good condition, relatively new, but there were quite a few hidden charges. Make sure your English is fluent and be vigilant, or you could lose a few hundred pounds.
