Waited for a long time because the car was not on the system at the desk despite me having an email confirmation. Not even sure who the car was supplied by - Rhodium, Ace or Gold Cars? Waited for an hour for this to be rectified with a preganant girlfriend. Lady at the pick up desk was rude and unhelpful, I was told I was 'lucky you dont have to wait longer'. Aggressive attempts to sell insurance add ons. Eventually collected the car which was dented, scratched and dirty inside and out. Was told 'you are lucky its scratched because then its less likely you'll be charged for scratches that you cant even see when you bring it back'! In summary, a poor start to our holiday. Won't be using again.
Waited 3 hours to get car, staff on desk were useless just saying it takes what it takes. Will never use again.
The drop off was also terrible, staff ignoring me, badly signposted to return the car - whole pickup and dropoff process terrible.

The wait on arrival was excessive, I don't expect to wait over 90 mins in a queue for a pre-booked car. The woman at the drop off was rude and unhelpful when I asked about the excess I had but on my card. ACE would not accept American express for the final payment or the excess ( I had a separate insurance for this) and I had to put it on my debit card which cost me money and I have to wait 8 days to get it back but that was difficult to find out as they told me it would be sorted out when I returned and then they were rude at the drop off when I asked about it and I had to go back into the terminal desk. There was a queue and I had to get a flight but the girl just said I had to wait till they pay it back.
I was concerned upon arrrival and seeing Ace was at the same doubter as goldcar with just a tiny A4 sign as I had read so many poor reviews of glodcar, this meat I left with the hire car with some concerns regards what would happen when I returned it! The guy on the vonnter was very polite and did not push any additional insurances as I had expected, we had no issues with the car and return was smooth. I would just recommend that Ace distance themselves from the negative glodcar reputation if possible.

Easy booking and clear paperwork with simple easy to understand recommendations regards the additional excess waiver insurance provided.
Waited over an hour, in a hot terminal, to pick up car. Staff said I needed extra insurance !! This was paid for up front, and they should have been made aware. Overall cost was £20 higher than original quote. On the plus side, car was upgraded to a new seat arona.
It took 5 hours to rent the car and everything was as vague as can be.
The whole process is designed to sell Insurance and upgrades. A ridiculous process which created 60 people long queues.
I am sure that these rental agencies are either owned or financed by the main players like Hertz with the sole objective to drive people back to them and NEVER , EVER consider leaving again.
