I have been renting from Galaxy for few instances and previous trip I switch to another car rental thinking that most of the car rental are the same. Full of disappointment from other car rental providing bad car conditions (old and dirty). This trip I switch back to Galaxy Asia and through comparison you will realised the differences. I will continue with Galaxy Asia and hope they will continue with such good service and quality car.
The service was mediocre. The highway toll card rental costs 30 MYR, and you have to load it with your own money. If you overcharge, you don't get a refund. The card initially had only 1.5 MYR, which caused me to miss the toll card refill station and get stuck at the toll booth. I had to find a place to refill the card, which was very inconvenient. I specifically chose the rental location at Terminal 2, but they directed me to pick up the car at Terminal 1. When returning the car to Terminal 2, they charged an additional 30 MYR. When I arrived at the designated return spot, I called the contact, but I had to wait half an hour, almost missing my flight. The entire experience was terrible.
We arrived at midnight in heavy rain with lots of luggage and our child. We hurriedly picked up the car and checked for any scratches. The staff member assured us there wouldn't be any issues and that minor problems wouldn't matter, so we quickly took the car. When we returned it, the head of the rental company found a 3cm black scratch, likely from a stone, which could probably be removed with some waxing. Also, they didn't let us check thoroughly when picking up the car and told us minor issues wouldn't matter. The scratch might not even be from us. They insisted we pay around 2000 RMB, but luckily, I had full insurance, so we sorted it through insurance. I feel this company lacks integrity, offering low-cost rentals and then charging high fees for damages or committing insurance fraud.
Agent didn’t mark tiniest scratch when I checked out saying such small scratches(probably from branches) were OK but when I returned the car another agent made a small deal out of it and asked if I took photos of all the tiniest scratches
Like: Very friendly staff. Supported us very well during pick up and drop. Vehicle was is very good condition. Except the music player did not work with our usb and we couldnt charge our phones either. Dislike: Unfortunately Usb port for charging and music system did not work.
