The car was great. Staff was friendly. However, they are woefully understaffed!! One agent and 11 people in line in front of us. Then a 2nd agent came on. Finally, after about an hour, there were 3 agents. It was our turn, but then there were issues with their credit card scanning equipment and we, as long as another couple, were told our cards were declined. Eventually they did go through by swiping instead of chip reader. There is no reason to wait an hour in line to pick up a rental car.
I thought saving a 100 dollars on car rental for a week would be worthwhile I arrived for a 10:30 pick-up in Phoenix. The counter was located outside. It was 35 degrees. The line was took over two hours. I arrived at my destination at 3:00 a.m. It was cold, no one on the staff came and suggested the line move to indoors or gave explanation for the long wait -- it was TERRIBLE. The car turned out to be fine (to my delight) but could never trust using Fox again...and have made that known P
We waited 2 hours to pick up a car.Considering that we had booked online, the process was excessive. When ball that was completed, we waited another 20 minutes to receive the car. WE WOULD NOT RENT WITH THEM EVER AGAIN.
Like: The car was reasonably priced. Dislike: We requested a Toyota Corolla, (knowing full well that you don't always get what you request) but instead was issued a Red Kia Soul. Turns out the Red Kia Soul had a California license plate on the front and an Arizona license plate on the back. When we brought this to their attention, they wouldn't let us rent the car. They issued us a BLACK Kia Soul. Ever driven a BLACK car in Phoenix in the Summer? But there was a Toyota Corolla parked right next to the Black Kia Soul, and they wouldn't let us rent it either. None of the staff were very patient or helpful. It's like they were bothered that there were so many issues. We were the only customers at the time. Our plane landed at 9:30 pm and we left the rental car place at close to 11:00 pm. Still never knew why the Corolla (that was right there) was not available to rent.
Did not have the Kia but a Mitsubichi. Rental costs werent the same as rent on Internet. Fox had another surprise at drop-off. It was 296$ more than on my signed bill. Lucky I saw it. I had to wait long to have it corrected.

Regardless of the above star rating I will not be renting from Fox again. After a long day of flying (12 hours) to wait in a line for over 2.5 hours to pick up a car is beyond frustrating! When I asked about where to complete a survey regarding pick up, I was told “don’t bother complaining about the long wait times, we already know”. Your front line staff is the first impression customers receive. Their message, we don’t care about customers.
Like: They asked what I would like and they also made sure I had options! Dislike: Was told I would get a Kia Soul but got a Toyota Corolla! Little cramped compared to Kia but still a good car!
I waited for over an hour to get my rental. Then when I was up to the counter the attendant walked away go assist another coworker. Then proceed to advise me that it would another wait as my caf was NOT READY. If I wanted one of the ready vehicle it would be an upgrade. So instead of waiting for my Rent. As I was exhausted from traveling & couldn't mustard the angry to get my rental right then & there.
